User manual for the Peavey Digitool MX32 16x16 Digital Audio Processor DIGITOOL MX32

The user manual for the Peavey Digitool MX32 16x16 Digital Audio Processor DIGITOOL MX32 provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Installation Sound - System Processors.

The Peavey Digitool MX32 16x16 Digital Audio Processor is designed for live and installed audio applications such as multi-way house systems and multiple monitor mixes. The 2RU rack mountable signal processor features 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs through Euro terminal block termination. It also includes an AES input that can be assigned to any output. A front panel USB port enables PC control over the unit's internal DSP using the Digital HD software for Windows. A rear panel Ethernet port enables connection to a network for assembling more complex live sound systems. Eight rear panel control voltage ports expand the flexibility for system control configuration and integration.

The front panel control interface includes 5-segment LED meters and mute switches for every input and output. A set of navigation wheels and a full color LED display enables use of the NWare based graphical user interface for operation of the device's internal routing and DSP devices which include filters, gates, compressors, delays, output crossovers, and a sinewave/pink noise/white noise generator for acoustic analysis. It also features a priority mute function for muting channels designated as slaves when signal is present on a designated master channel.

Within the signal processor's GUI, the user can apply phantom power to each input channel, switch between mic/line and AES, invert the polarity of each input, mute each channel individually, and control the input level within the routing matrix. For outputs, the GUI enables controlling the level from the digital routing matrix, muting each channel individually, controlling the maximum level of the analog output circuitry, and flipping the polarity of each channel. The GUI also enables recalling presets for different live sound applications and setting security controls so that settings may only be changed by authorized users.
