User manual for the Pittsburgh Lifeforms System 201 - Complete Eurorack PMS1011
The user manual for the Pittsburgh Lifeforms System 201 - Complete Eurorack PMS1011 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Musical Instruments - Synthesizer Modules.
The Lifeforms System 201 from Pittsburgh Modular is a stand-alone, semi-modular synthesizer which offers a hardwired signal path, allowing for sound generation without the need for a single patch cable, as well as a touch-capacitive keyboard with integrated step sequencer and arpeggiator. The heart of the system is comprised of the Lifeforms SV-1 synthesizer voice module, a complete synthesizer voice featuring several components including a powerful MIDI-to-CV converter, two complex waveform oscillators, a voltage-controlled multi-mode filter, an LFO, an ADSR envelope generator, glide circuit for portamento effects, a waveform mixer, a splitter, a linear voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA), and a set of utility tools such as two sub-oscillator outputs, a noise circuit, and a sample-and-hold circuit. The SV-1 offers a complete set of patch points able to override the internal audio and CV signal paths, and each component can be split apart and used like stand-alone modules.
The Lifeforms KB-1 offers a set of unique and intuitive tools for controlling Eurorack modular synthesizers and features a multi-function capacitive-touch keyboard with an arpeggiator, step-sequencer, voltage-memory pads and trigger pads. The module can be set to function in monophonic or duophonic modes with user-selectable note priority and retrigger options, while the 10-note programmable arpeggiator generates patterns and includes the ability to single or double trigger notes as well as generate random gates to add complexity.
The Lifeforms Systems 201 is housed in the Structure EP-96 desktop case and includes a blank 6hp panel, embossed with the Pittsburgh Modular logo, to keep the case looking clean. The case offers an external power supply and Eurorack bus system capable of powering up to 12 modules. The Lifeforms System 201 also ships with a custom MIDI adapter, DC power supply, 12x Nazca 1/8" / 3.5mm patch cables.
