User manual for the Pulsar Quantum XD50A 2.5x42mm Thermal Monocular (50 Hz) PL77329

The user manual for the Pulsar Quantum XD50A 2.5x42mm Thermal Monocular (50 Hz) PL77329 provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Night & Thermal Vision - Thermal Imagers.

The Quantum XD50A 2.5x42mm Thermal Monocular from Pulsar allows users to detect sources of invisible to the naked eye long wavelength infrared light during day or night. For example, at night without help from visible illumination you will be able to detect running engines, hot wires, infrared lasers and lamps, live animals, humans, or other sources of heat. Additionally, because of different transmission properties of the infrared light compared to the visible light, this thermal imager will enable you to view your targets through smoke, fog, or dust. The imager features a micro-bolometer sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels and 7.7 µm to 13.2 µm spectral sensitivity. It is capable of displaying thermal images at a frame rate of 50 Hz using a built-in 640x480-pixel LCD display, an external monitor, or a recording device. The optical system features a 50mm f/1.2 germanium lens that provides 2.5x optical magnification and a 2x digital zoom and allows for a wide angular field of view.

The housing is made of a lightweight and durable glass fiber composite and has a texture with coarse deep groves to allow a good grip. The control buttons are arranged in a staggered configuration for an easy reach and one-handed operation with either your left or right hand. This thermal imager can also be mounted on a tripod via top or bottom 1/4"-20 sockets. Additionally, it has a Weaver style mount adapter for connecting accessories. The objective is outfitted with a flip-out objective lens cap to protect the germanium lens from scratches and elements. The eyepiece has a diopter adjustment and a rubberized winged eye-cap. Also included are a carrying case, a hand strap, a car adapter, a video output cable, an extra battery container, and a lens cloth.
