The SAS-SM8A Sonic Mushroom Tabletop Listening Station from RDL is a tabletop monitor speaker that allows the user to select up to (8) channels of audio and control the volume. Controls are electronic and can be used via the unit's front-panel interface. The station disburses sound in three directions, but is designed to limit its range to a small tabletop. This design feature allows other people who are not in the proximity of the unit to continue with their activities uninterrupted by any noise.
If the volume is not adjusted for an hour, the station will automatically lower audio output by 1dB per hour until the minimum level is achieved. If power to the unit is shut off, the unit will power up with audio at the minimum level to prevent injury to users.
Control buttons on the front panel are sealed to protect them from moisture and other foreign debris. This unit is housed in a rugged metal case.
