Utilizing the 6G SAS Expander technology, the rackmount provides up to 24 Gb/s or 2400 MB/s of data bandwidth to fulfill the most demanding applications. The rackmount supports SATA or SAS 6 Gb/s hard disk drives (HDD) or solid state drives (SSD) and is backwards compatible with 3 Gb/s SAS and SATA drives. It also supports up to 8 SAS or SATA drives using only one mini-SAS cable.
