The Sennheiser MKH-416 Shotgun Microphone Deluxe Boompole Kit from B&H includes a Sennheiser MKH-416 shotgun microphone, a universal shockmount for camera shoes and boompoles, a universal pistol grip, and an adjustable boompole with an internally coiled cable an XLR connector at its base. Also included are a Rycote Super Softie shotgun windshield, a XLR to angled XLR straight cable, a XLR to angled XLR coiled cable, and a boompole bag.

The MKH-416 has an RF condenser design allowing for high feedback rejection and a low proximity effect. With the included universal shockmount, it can be mounted to a camera, or to the included adjustable boompole.

      Additional Information Finding the correct slip-on windshield will depend on the type, length and diameter of the microphone. Slip-on windshields are designed for cylindrical shotgun mics, ranging from 19-25 mm in diameter. 

       

      For any windshield to work effectively it must cover all the ports on the microphone. Therefore a 18 cm slip-on windshield would be suitable for shotgun microphones, with slots no further than 18 cm from the front of the mic. 

       

      The diameter of the microphone is also key, as the fit must be tight in order to achieve a good seal. Rycote slip-on windshields come in three diameter fittings, Universal (19-25 mm), Standard (19-22 mm) or Large (24-25 mm).
