The Set 900 Wireless Infrared Stereo Listening System from Sennheiser is a convenient stereo assistive listening system, ideal for use at home or out in the world. The set uses wireless infrared technology to provide clean, clear audio up to 39' away from your audio source. The system consists of a compact transmitter and a stethoset receiver. The transmitter connects to your TV or audio system and sends audio via an infrared signal to the receiver. The receiver can also be used in theaters or concert halls that have IR transmission. The transmitter offers 3 selectable hearing settings for optimized speech intelligibility thanks to switchable compression and treble boost.
The lightweight stethoset receiver is worn like a stethoscope, and has comfortable in-ear earpieces to provide high-quality audio while reducing the impact of environmental noise. The headset automatically turns on and off when it's put on and taken off to preserve battery life. A large pendant-style volume dial makes it easy to make volume adjustments. There is an individually-adjustable treble boost feature, plus a balance control for an optimal listening experience.
There are 2 switchable microphones on the receiver, which pick up and amplify surrounding noise, allowing you to hear ambient sound such as a ringing phone while you watch TV or listen to music. The receiver is foldable and comes with a carrying case, so you can bring it with you almost anywhere. The receiver has an internal Li-polymer rechargeable battery that provides up to 12 hours of continuous use and recharges in about 3 hours. The transmitter acts as a base station charger, letting you dock the receiver for convenient recharging.
