The UR3 Plug-On Transmitter from Shure is designed to turn any XLR microphone into a wireless transmitter compatible with Shure's UHF-R's wireless systems. It is tuned to Shure's J5 frequency band and operates between 578 to 638 MHz.
The unit itself is ergonomically designed to be comfortable in your hand as an extension of your microphone. It has a backlit LCD display that allows you to create up to 10 microphone ID lists for fast recall of commonly used settings. Aside from use with microphones, the UR3 accepts line level sources. It syncs to a UHF-R series receiver via infrared. It is powered by two AA batteries that can provide up to 10 hours of life when used with a dynamic mic.
