The Singh-Ray 55mm I-Ray Infrared Filter eliminates all visible and UV light for pure infrared effect, either with film or digital cameras. The filter is used by outdoor, portrait, wedding and commercial photographers working in the artistic medium of black and white infrared photography. While efficiently transmitting over 90% of the near-infrared wavelengths between 700 and 1100 nanometers this totally opaque black filter eliminates virtually all visible and ultraviolet light. The result is a purely infrared often dreamlike image different from any achieved by conventional photography.
