The IR-LED Single LED to Mini Jack Emitter Cable from SmartAVI is a 6' long infrared remote control transmitter cable that transmits signals to a remote controlled device via a 3.5mm mini-phone jack. It's used for many audio visual applications, where it may be necessary to place a media center device such as a satellite receiver, video player, or set-top box in a centralized location that is not in the line-of-sight of the display. The IR-LED is designed to work in combination with the IR-EYE receiver (sold separately). The IR-LED transmits the signal from the IR-EYE (via an infrared extender) to the media center device, so that an infrared remote control can be used to control it. This IR-LED can be used with Audio Visual equipment, Home appliances, Infrared remote control toys, Industrial control devices, CATV set top boxes, and for Optical switches as well.
