The Sony MPE-200 Stereo Image Processor is a multi-image processing platform that simplifies 3D workflows when combined with optional software. The high-speed processor that can perform signal processing of HD live image inputs, correct stereo source misalignment, and output signals all in real time. Equipped with a high-performance Cell Broadband Engine microprocessor and RSX graphics processor, the MPE-200 receives up to four HD/SDI signal inputs and has four matching HD/SDI outputs. It can be easily integrated with Sony cameras and switchers to automate 3D stereo image correction and reduce discomfort when switching between images with widely different depth content. Several software applications can be installed together in a single MPE-200 Stereo Image Processor, and you can switch between these applications as required via a computer GUI. The MPE-200 platform line-up includes the optional MPES-3D01 Stereo Image Processor Software, MPES-3DQC1 3D Quality Control Software, and MPES-2D3D1 2D/3D Converter Software for enhancing 3D production creativity and productivity. Other highly sophisticated solutions include the MPES-FX01 Programmable Effector Software for advanced and striking visual effects and the MPES-VC01 Virtual Camera Solution Software for virtual panoramic images. Multiple software applications and application data can be stored to the MPE-200's 160GB internal HDD.
