The user manual for the Speco Technologies LX Series D20LX 20-Channel Hybrid D20LX4TB provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Digital Video Recorders (DVRs).
The 4TB LX Series D20LX 20-Channel Hybrid Digital Video Recorder with Looping Outputs from Speco Technologies records from up to 16 analog and 4 IP cameras at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. The DVR converts analog NTSC or PAL video to digital images and records them on a hard disk drive. The DVR also allows you to view recorded video while it continues recording.
Quadplex operation allows you to simultaneously live-view, playback, and remotely access the DVR without having to stop recording. An app for Android/iOS/BlackBerry OS mobile devices gives you the added ability to access the DVR from smartphones and tablets. In addition, the 20-channel DVR offers 2-way audio communication and comes with a built-in DVD RW for local storage.
With digitally recorded video, there is no need to adjust tracking. You can freeze frames, fast forward, fast reverse, slow forward, and slow reverse without image streaking or tearing. The digital video can be indexed by time or events, and you can instantly view video after selecting the time or event.
The 20-Channel DVR can be set up for event or time-lapse recording. You can define times to record, and the schedule can change for different days of the week and user-defined holidays. It can be set up to alert you when the hard drive is full, or to record over the existing video once the drive is full.
The Hybrid DVR supports disk-mirroring functions to prevent any unexpected loss of recorded video data that might be caused by disk damage or corruption. It uses a proprietary encryption scheme making it difficult to alter the recorded video.
The LX series DVR can be used to monitor video from network video transmitters and/or network cameras, record monitored video, and play back recorded video. You can also view video and control your DVR remotely by connecting via Ethernet. With the eSATA port, an external hard drive can be connected to the DVR for recording or archiving videos. In addition, this DVR also features 2 USB ports for system upgrade or copy footage flash drives.

When I connected the DVR at home I foundvylthat there was an adminastrator password set that the previous owner apparently did not remember. Is there anyway I can reset this password to the factory password? Any help woukd be greatly appreciated.
