If your professional activities or hobbies require prolonged hands-free illumination, consider the Streamlight Survivor LED Flashlight. It features an L-shaped design with its bezel positioned at a 90° angle to its body, which enables it to project light horizontally and illuminate the area of interest while it stand on its tailcap. Its C4 bright white LED delivers from 60 to 175 lumens and can be operated in a variety of lighting modes: low, high, strobe, and Moonlight. While you can use low and high modes to illuminate your path, your workbench, or garage, you can use the strobe mode to signal your friends, colleagues, and rescue teams. The Moonlight mode is especially designed to provide ultra-low long-lasting output beam and can last up to 20 days. The 3" bezel has reduced dimensions to increase compactness of the flashlight. It houses a total internal reflection (TIR) optic that delivers a tightly collimated output beam with a low intensity peripheral cone of light. The Survivor also features two Smoke Cutter plugs to generate options for a beam pattern. The black plug significantly reduces the peripheral light and emphasizes a tighter beam. The amber plug moderately reduces the peripheral light and eye fatigue caused by glare. To protect the optics and LED, the bezel features an impact-resistant polycarbonate window with a silicone anti-scratch coating.
The housing is made of lightweight and robust nylon polycarbonate. It is impact-resistant and sealed with o-rings for water-resistant performance. Wherever you are, a large rubberized dome pushbutton on the top is easy to operate even with gloves on. The light is designed for hands-free operation and offers for doing so: you can stand it on its tail, hang it with a d-ring, or use a large low-profile spring-loaded clip for attaching the light to your belt or coveralls. The flashlight is powered four AA batteries in a quick-change cartridge or accepts an optional Ni-Cd rechargeable battery.
