Capture clear, sharp images in challenging lighting environments with the PRO-980 Ultimate Optical Zoom Security Camera with Night Vision from Swann. From strong sunlight outdoors to a dimly lit room in your home, this camera's color imaging sensor brings out details even when light levels aren't optimal. This camera has a varifocal lens with a focal range of 2.8 to 12mm and an 81° viewing angle.
This camera captures color video during the day, and black and white video at night. As light levels diminish, the 36 built-in LEDs become illuminated. The light cast by these LEDs helps the camera capture clear and low-noise images within a range of 131' in darkness. Image clarity is further enhanced by built-in image settings such as Wide Dynamic Range technology, which works to help reduce distortion and blur at the periphery of images.
Depending on the DVR that you connect, you'll be able to program the camera to record continuously, at scheduled times, or when motion is detected. You can also use your DVR to define motion sensitivity settings and event triggers. Depending on how you configure your DVR, when motion is detected, it can send an email alert to you. If you're not interested in recording video, you can opt to connect the included BNC cable and RGA adapter to a TV or monitor for live-viewing and playback.
With an IP66 rated housing, this camera is protected from harsh environmental elements like rain and snow, making it suitable for outdoor and indoor applications. To facilitate setup and installation, the camera also comes with a cable management bracket, power adapter, and mounting hardware.
