The Swedish Chameleon SC:Belt "XXXL" Timing Belt for SC3:FFOCUS Follow Focus is a powerful timing belt for use with Swedish Chameleon's innovative belt-driven SC3:FFOCUS Video Follow Focus. It loops around a belt wheel on the follow focus and around the focus ring of a lens. At the turn of the follow focus's focus wheel, the belt pulls focus accurately without any play. The "XXXL" size is 21.2" (540mm) in diameter for extremely large lenses.
The belt is designed for still lenses, as although it has a pitch, it isn't the .8 pitch that cinema lenses have, and pulls are achieved by friction alone. The belt works with all still lenses, but an added component, Swedish Chameleon's lens rubber, is required for lenses that have aluminum focus rings (such as those from Zeiss, which all have aluminum focus rings). Lens rubber is sold separately.
