The SC4:MEDIUM LE Dovetail Based Shoulder Support from Swedish Chameleon is the light edition of the SC4:MEDIUM support rig. It consists of the same key components but excludes the follow focus and DSLR anti-twist plate. The SC4:MEDIUM is designed for filmmakers who want an advanced run-and-gun solution. The dovetail system makes the transition from tripod (no rig) to shoulder mounted fast and easy. The shoulder piece and dual handgrip unit can be detached from the rig in seconds, leaving you with a 5.9" long dual dovetail plate, bridge plate with two 15mm rods, quick-release plate, and a camera fixation plate.
It system is suitable for DSLRs and camcorders, and most camera cages. All that limits you is the weight of your setup, since you will still carry most of the weight of the rig on your arms. The SC4:MEDIUM LE is easily upgradeable to an SC4:LARGE LE rig via an optional upgrade kit, giving you a padded shoulder support and unique backrod/waist belt support that takes the weight off of your arms.
