The Tektronix WFM5200 Waveform Monitor is an efficient and portable solution for broadcast operators to adjust and balance cameras in a broadcast studio, OB van or remote field location.
With this monitor, you'll be able to perform calibration, error detection, and content correction with sharp CRT like traces. In addition to offering auto-detection of HD / SDI signals, the monitor features 4 SDI inputs with multi-format and multi-standard support, and is compatible with dual link video formats. In addition, you can enhance the waveform monitor's capabilities by installing optional software upgrades.

You can streamline the camera setup process, overlaying the waveform and vector, or waveform and lighting displays, with picture thumbnails on a 4-tile display. The full screen display mode allows for precise calibrations of parameters, while TandemVu display allows accurate luma and chroma adjustments to be made on the camera. Advanced color gamut display, when used with the Diamond gamut display, offers comprehensive color gamut monitoring, allowing you to make precise color gamut adjustments to the image.

Offering a variety of monitoring options, the Waveform Monitor allows you to check and calibrate various parameters for a perfect video output. It also features several sweep rates and ensures easy control of vertical gain and horizontal magnification for easy measurement of video waveform parameters. In addition, you can easily adjust the facility and interchannel timing via a timing and lighting display. The voltage and timing cursor ensures precise measurement of video signals. External reference signals such as Black Burst or Tri-Level Sync can also be measured with the help of this monitor. In addition, user-definable safe area graticules and AFD graticule facilitates easy editing and format conversion.

With the Waveform Monitor, error correction is simplified using extensive alarms, status reporting, and error logging for over 10,000 events. In case of a problem in the transmission chain, the monitor will alert you using its black and frozen frame detection capability.
