The WVR720UPDPE Software Upgrade for WVR7200 Waveform Rasterizer from Tektronix adds support for analog audio monitoring (2 sets of 6 channel analog audio inputs and 8 channels analog audio outputs) to your WVR7200 instrument. It also adds AES/EBU discrete digital audio (8 channels at a time) or 16 channels of embedded audio support, as well as Loudness monitoring. This upgrade also adds support for decoding and monitoring Dolby E, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby D Audio.
The software option key supplied in this kit is based on the serial number you supplied when you ordered the DPE upgrade for the waveform monitor. The new software option key should enable the new option, and also preserve your previously purchased options. You must upgrade the software (via the Tektronix website) to the latest version before you install the hardware upgrade and before you install the software option key. To perform the upgrade, you will use a PC to transfer the new software to the waveform monitor using your local Ethernet network or using an Ethernet cross-over cable.
