The Delos 6mm 72° Apparent Field Eyepiece (1.25") from Tele Vue is a long eye-relief eyepiece design of 6mm in the 70° AFoV range, designed to retain the previous performance goals of Tele Vue's Ethos eyepiece line. The optical, mechanical, and ergonomic features were reassessed to improve performance for all visual applications. By decreasing the AFoV to 72° pupil aberrations were minimized, the eye relief was able to be increased, and the overall size of the eyepiece did not have to be made larger. The Delos delivers full field sharpness and color neutrality, maximized by applying glass matched multicoatings and anti-reflection surfaces. Enhanced contrast is provided with a continuously adjustable and lockable height eyeguard. The eyeguard has a sliding action that allows the soft rubber to be positioned at the ideal height for each observer's preference. Indicator marks on the eyepiece body make repeatable settings quick and easy. Blackened lens edges, high index glass, fold-down eyeguards, and rubber grip rings are a part of all Tele Vue eyepieces. Delos used to refer to a Greek island; now Delos refers to yet another Tele Vue open window to the heavenly wonders.
