The BaseSTATION Deluxe System from Vaddio is a unified communications solution for video conferencing, which includes a camera and MicDock that incorporate all the audio and video functions for a small meeting room. The BaseSTATION uses an existing HD LED/LCD monitor for both audio and video display over a simple HDMI connection.
The BaseSTATION system can be used for a variety of applications such as local presentations, PC-based UC applications like Skype or WebEx, VoIP audio conferencing, and voice add-on. The unit is comprised of a table-based MicDock and a wall-mounted Camera Module. The MicDock contains the microphones, user interface, and docking connectors for the PC and video conferencing applications.
With four cardioid microphone elements and their respective independent wideband AECs (acoustic echo cancelers), these microphones provide a 360° pickup pattern. The Vaddio SmartMic technology maintains echo-free audio for both local and far-end participants with hands-free operation. A touch user interface on the MicDock provides for dialing and conference control. PC, laptop, or tablet connections include HDMI or VGA (RGBHV) for various computers.
The BaseSTATION uses a camera based on the WideSHOT, which has a wide angle lens providing greater than 82° horizontal field of view (16:9) to cover even the smallest of rooms. It has a manual focus and iris that allow you to tailor the image to a small room. The BaseSTATION also includes an HDMI video output with audio for the room HD monitor. A supplied single CAT6 SSTP shielded cable connects the BaseSTATION with the MicDock carrying power, video, audio, control, and network.
