The Vello BG-S3 Battery Grip is designed specifically for the Sony Alpha a7 II and a7R II cameras and holds one or two batteries. With two batteries in the grip, your shooting time is effectively doubled. The design of the battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your camera, especially in the vertical position.
The BG-S3 has a vertical-position shutter-release button, an alternate AF/MF/AEL button, three custom buttons, rear and main control dials, and an on/off switch. The FreeWave system also has access to 16 channels for triggering multiple receivers and has an internal antenna that will be protected from any accidental damage. Multiple features are available for shooting, such as a four-second delay as well as multi-exposure and long exposure modes. The device also has a dual function release, enabling focus on half press and triggering the shutter release on a full press.
