This 130' Professional Performance Tether from VideoRay connects to their Pro 4, Scout, Scout X3, Explorer, or Explorer X3 underwater ROV system. Its modular design allows it to be attached to other tether segments for increased length, enabling you to explore farther or deeper beneath the surface. Keep in mind that the depth rating of the Scout and Explorer is 250', so you must be careful not to exceed this depth when using a tether. The Pro 4 has a greater depth rating of 1000'. One end of the tether connects to the ROV and the other connects to your topside box/control panel.
At 9.6mm in diameter, the neutrally buoyant Professional Performance Tether is smaller than VideoRay's standard neutral buoyancy tether, making for less drag in the water and requiring less effort by the operator. A steel strain-relief cable, all-copper conductors, and a Kevlar member are built into the tether for durability and a breaking strength of 1000.9 lb.
