User manual for the Vixen Optics MT-1 Right Ascension or Declination Axis Motor 3752
The user manual for the Vixen Optics MT-1 Right Ascension or Declination Axis Motor 3752 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Telescopes - Drives & Computerized Accessories.
The Vixen MT-1 Motor Drive is a great accessory to add to your Vixen GP2, GPD2, or Great Polaris or Super Polaris series mount. This stepping motor easily attaches to GP-type mounts, and the quartz oscillator keeps the tracking true and accurate. It is able to act as either a right ascension or declination axis, but it can only control a single axis at a time-you'll need a pair of them if you want both axes to be simultaneously motorized. Constellations, however, only move in the right ascension axis over the course of the evening-so if you have your telescope well aligned to the polar axis, you really only need motorized movement on the right ascension axis.
