The 10x50 Viper HD Binocular from Vortex features High Density (HD) Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass, proprietary XR anti-reflective coatings, ArmorTek scratch-resistant coatings, and water and fogproof housing with rubber armoring. The High Density Extra-Low Dispersion fully multicoated lenses and multicoated phase-corrected Roof prisms help preserve true color and deliver better image detail and contrast across the entire field of view than less sophisticated optical designs. The resulting image quality creates a more enjoyable viewing experience and easier identification of targets in low light conditions and at long ranges. In addition, the lenses are protected against damage from dust, dirt and oil by ArmorTek ultra-hard scratch-resistant coatings. To keep your images and reticle focused at the same time, the binocular also features a center focus, a diopter adjustment and a separate reticle focus.
The integrated R/T hashmarked ranging reticle is off-center modified duplex crosshair. It has fine 0.5 and 1.0 milliradian subtension marks, coarse 5.0 milliradian marks, and four silhouettes for estimating range. The silhouettes provide ranges at 328 yards, 437 yards, 547 yards, and 656 yards.
Beyond these optical features, this binocular is built to withstand harsh conditions and is comfortable to use. It is o-ring sealed for a tight waterproofing and argon-filled to provide greater fogproof protection than similar nitrogen-filled binoculars. The fold-down winged eyecups and a 20 mm eyerelief allow comfortable viewing for anyone wearing eyeglasses. The rubberized armoring provides a non-slip grip while you are on a move. To reduce image jitter, you can easily connect this binocular to a tripod via an integrated tripod socket.
Also, included with the binocular are a padded carry case, neck strap, two tethered objective lens covers, and a waterproof rainguard for eyepieces.
