The Zacuto Gratical HD EVF Recoil Kit for Canon C100 from B&H is a complete shoulder-mounted rig designed specifically for the Canon C100 or C100 Mark II, pairing Zacuto's C100 EVF Recoil with their Gratical HD Micro OLD EVF. The C100 EVF Recoil includes a VCT Universal baseplate, Zgrip Relocator for the C100's handgrip, and a C100 Z-Finder Bracket with an Axis Mount. The rig is designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder-mounted or on a tripod, without the need for heavy counterweights. With modern lenses and cameras being similar weights, the balance point is often where the lens meets the camera body. Zacuto's Recoil rigs place the balance directly over your shoulder, relocating focus, monitoring, and camera controls forward, and creating a lighter and shorter rig.
The VCT Universal baseplate features an integrated, curved shoulder pad for comfortable shoulder-mounted shooting, and a V-wedge tripod connector for interfacing with V-lock tripod plates. The baseplate also provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw options, and includes removable 6.5" long 15mm rods with internal threading for adding optional extensions. The Zgrip slides on to one of the 15mm rods and relocates the C100 handgrip to better suit the Recoil setup. The C100 Z-Finder Bracket, which comes with the Axis Mount for C100, attaches to the handle of your C100 camera with 1/4"-20 screws and provides multiple accessory attachment points. Along the top of the bracket are two 1/4"-20 threads alternating with two 3/8"-16 threads. The Axis Mount provides a quick-release 15mm rod port for attaching an included Axis Mini to mount the Gratical HD EVF.
The Gratical HD uses a micro OLED panel no bigger than your thumbnail that is packed with more than 5.4 million dots to deliver 720p resolution images with true blacks. It features SDI and HDMI inputs/outputs and supports cross-conversion as well as custom LUTs on both the viewfinder's display and the downstream video. Additionally, it is packed with all the professional scopes and video assist functions you'd expect from a professional viewfinder, and offers a variety of mounting options, including an ARRI compatible rosette and 1/4"-20 threaded holes.
