The AE 38 Buffed Bronze Boxed System from Zildjian is a quiet cymbal system that features acoustic cymbals that have been designed for up to a 70% reduction in volume in comparison to similarly-sized acoustic cymbals thanks to their pattern of holes. It can be incorporated into an E-drum system or with acoustic drums for performance or practice. The system consists of a 13" buffed bronze hi-hat pair, an 18" buffed bronze crash/ride cymbal, 2 direct source pickups, a Digital Cymbal Processor unit, a cable kit, and 2 cymbal dampers.
The included pickups detect your playing and send the signal to the Digital Cymbal Processor which provides 20 tone shapes for each of its 5 channels, in addition to adjustable reverb. Here, you can shape your cymbal tone depending on taste and song. Unlike drum triggers, the cymbals can be played with sticks, rods, or mallets and can be choked or brushed.
