This 3.4 oz bottle of Adox Adotech CMS II Black and White Film Developer is a liquid concentrate developer specifically formulated for the Adox CMS 20 II films. The combination of this film and developer yields enhanced highlight separation, along with a straighter overall film curve, finer grain, and more consistent results when compared to other traditional developers. This developer also enables the ability to expose the CMS II films between ISO 12-20/12-14° with well-controlled contrast.
When used at the recommended 1:14 dilution, the bottle contains enough chemistry to develop six roll films in a Jobo tank, five in a conventional tank, or up to 25 sheets of film. It is delivered in a gas-free PET bottle and should be filled to 3.4 oz with water after each use in order to extend the shelf-life to one year. Additionally, this developer requires the use of an acidic stop bath, rather than water, and fixing times can be reduced to just 30-60 seconds for CMS II films. This version of developer is not a direct replacement for CMS I and is not intended for use with CMS I films.
