User manual for the Amphibico Turtle Underwater Video Housing VHTURTLGYXR520
The user manual for the Amphibico Turtle Underwater Video Housing VHTURTLGYXR520 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Camcorders - Underwater Equipment - Camcorders & Housings.
The grey Turtle Underwater Video Housing for Sony HDR-XR520 / HDR-XR500 Camcorder from Amphibico is a durable underwater case enabling you to shoot beneath the water's surface with your Sony camcorder. It has a depth rating of 330' (100.6 m). The housing provides access to all key camcorder functions, including Record / Standby, Photo Mode, Telephoto Variable Speed Zoom, Wide Angle Variable Speed Zoom, Autofocus, Manual Focus, one-touch White Balance and Power On / Off. A green LED light flashes when recording. The easily-operated electronic right grip control is ergonomically-designed for comfort and functionality (left-handed grip available separately).
The Turtle is constructed of marine grade aluminum that's anodized for corrosion resistance, along with stainless steel hardware. It has a built-in flat glass lens port, which will accommodate an optional internal color correction filter to help restore hues that are otherwise absorbed by the water. The large 3.5" digital LCD viewfinder is a color display located at the rear of the housing with an angle of 10° for clearer, easier viewing of HD video and still images at arm's length.
Another useful feature on the Turtle housing is the electronic wet sensor moisture alarm. Should any water find its way past the o-ring seals, the alarm will be activated and a red LED light will flash, signaling you to head to the surface. An optional hydrophone is available for recording sound underwater to accompany your video.
In purchasing this housing, you will be making a positive impact on the marine ecosystem: A $50.00 donation in your name will be sent to SOLO (Save Our Leatherback Operation) to aid Dr. Larry McKenna, founder of this non-profit organization, and his team in their tireless efforts to protect the Leatherback turtle against endangerment and possible extinction.
