The black Aegis Secure Key 3.0 Flash Drive from Apricorn features a USB 3 connector and a storage capacity of 60GB. This flash drive incorporates a 7 to 16 digit PIN access with 256-bit AES military grade hardware encryption for secure data storage. The Aegis Secure Key 3.0 can be configured with independent user and admin PINs, enabling corporate or government usage. The flash drive also includes a drive reset feature which clears the PINs, destroys the data and creates a new randomly generated encryption key, allowing the drive to be reused.
The flash drive's extruded aluminum crush-resistant casing is tamper evident and guards against physical damage. The internal drive components are protected by a durable epoxy compound which will cause permanent damage to the electronics of the device when removed incorrectly. The Aegis Secure Key 3.0 will automatically lock once you unplug the drive from your computer or when power to the USB port is turned off or after a pre-programmed period of inactivity.
The Aegis Secure Key 3.0 unlocks using its own keypad, not a keyboard. This feature ensures that it is not vulnerable to software/hardware based key-loggers or brute force attacks. The Aegis Secure Key 3.0 further protects your data with a programmable "Brute Force Hack Defense Mechanism" which deletes the encryption key and destroys all stored data if the incorrect PIN is entered up to a total of 20 consecutive times.
