This External Camera from Aquabotix is compatible with all of their HydroView PRO Underwater ROVs and has the same 330' depth rating. It has the same features as the vehicle's internal camera with one important addition: It allows for manual pan and 90° tilt, enabling you to stream and capture live video and still photos from multiple directions, as opposed to the internal camera that only streams and captures what's in front of its fixed position. Only one camera can be functioning at a time, so when the external camera is operable, the internal camera is not.
This external camera features a 1MP image sensor allowing for 16:9 widescreen HD 1280 x 720p live video to the water's surface. Video feeds and still images can be captured using the HydroView App for iPad or PC / Mac, just as they can with the HydroView's internal camera. The camera's 3.2mm lens offers a fairly wide angle of view of 66° and is protected by a dome port that helps counteract the decrease in coverage that occurs underwater, thus restoring a wider angle. The lens also has a fast f/2.4 aperture for effective low-light shooting. The camera features auto focus with manual focus override via the HydroView App and also offers automatic exposure control and 24-bit color depth. It must be ordered with a HydroView and is not shipped individually.
