The RT-N16 Multi-Functional Gigabit Wireless N Router with Storage, Printer, & Media Server from Asus is a versatile router that can connect a variety of your wireless devices while also giving you advanced server functions. With three external antennae and a powerful CPU, this router can transfer data at a max rate of 300 Mbps for wireless-N devices and can also connect to devices that are compatible with the older 802.11b and 802.11g standards. In addition, it features four Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports, so you can establish fast wired connections with Ethernet-enabled devices.
Because there are also two built-in USB 2.0 ports, you can connect USB 2.0-enabled peripherals such as scanners, printers, and external hard drives. If you do connect any of these, you can access them wirelessly within your LAN network. You can also use them with the router's built-in server functions. The router can serve as a Printer server, FTP server, UPnP media server, or a 24/7 BitTorrent downloader. Whether you use the router as a server or not, you can utilize the EZQoS function to prioritize which computer programs or applications should receive the most bandwidth.
