User manual for the ATI Audio Inc DDA212NXLR Network-Controlled Digital DDA212-N-XLR
The user manual for the ATI Audio Inc DDA212NXLR Network-Controlled Digital DDA212-N-XLR provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Installation Sound - Distribution Amplifiers.
The DDA212NXLR Network-Controlled Digital Audio DA from ATI Audio is a 1 x 6 digital audio distribution amplifier with a built-in web server for remote control from anywhere on your studio's network; it regenerates, isolates, and distributes digital audio data formatted in accordance with specifications AES3-1992 and IEC 958. The DDA212NXLR features a jitter of less than 300 picoseconds, and is equipped with low-distortion sample rate converters covering sample rates from 32 to 192 kHz. All of its inputs and outputs are transformer-isolated.
The DDA212NXLR's inputs feed AES audio from input 1 or 2 to either Group A or B outputs. Using any browser on your network, its web server permits user selection of input termination, input EQ, and re-clocking of the input, as well as a clock source for each output group. In most cases, re-clocking should be used, as this improves the integrity of weak or distorted input signals. Re-clocking may be switched off to allow distribution of AES sync signals, Dolby E encoded AES signals, or other signals that should not be re-clocked.
Each output group has its own dedicated low-distortion sample rate converter. The output groups can be bridged, providing 12 identical outputs from either user selected input. Each output group can be monitored from the DDA212NXLR front panel in addition to the web server. AES sync can be sourced from either input, an external source, or using the internal low-jitter clock.
