User manual for the Audioengine D3 24-Bit USB Digital to Analog Converter D3
The user manual for the Audioengine D3 24-Bit USB Digital to Analog Converter D3 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Computer Audio - AD/DA Converters.
The Audioengine D3 24-Bit Digital to Analog Converter is a plug and play USB thumb drive digital to analog converter intended for portable hi-fi listening. No drivers are required. The converter is based on the AK4396 DAC and housed within a metal injection molded aluminum case. It includes a headphone amplifier based on the LME49726 low-noise op-amp, and the volume can be controlled from your Mac or PC operating system.
The unit can read data off the computer at up to 192,000 samples per second and can resample for conversion at up to 24-bit 96 kHz resolution. A built-in LED glows blue whenever the sample rate is set to over 48 kHz. To minimize the effects of jitter, the unit utilizes two master clocks for asynchronous timing of data transfer and D/A conversion. The power supply within the USB converter features two stages of regulation to minimize the effects of bus power variations on the audio quality.
