The black Aurora Multimedia DXW-2EUH 2-Gang HDBaseT Wall Plate Transmitter is a multi-input Decora style wall plate. It installs into a standard 2-gang outlet box and functions as a switcher, converter, and extender. It converts VGA with audio to HDMI and transmits it via a CATx cable at up to 600' to a compatible receiver (sold separately). The DXW-2EUH has a LAN port to provide you with internet access on the receiver end. Two USB ports allow charging USB devices and are also each capable of passing through 480Mbps signals up to 150'.
The HDBaseT output is on the rear side, and a single CAT cable runs from it, through a wall, to the receiver. The transmitter is powered remotely from the receiver via the HDBaseT connection or locally via an optional power supply.
The VGA and HDMI inputs each feature an associated 3.5mm TRS audio input connector. The input associated to the HDMI connection provides audio while using an HDMI to DVI converter. The VGA input supports YPbPr, S-Video and Video signals via optional breakout cables. The two inputs are selectable by buttons on the wall plate or by an RS-232 controller connected to the receiver. A 40' range IR receiver sensor is built into the wall plate and supports IR control of the receiver end.
