This midspan can be connected to mains power, transforming the power and injecting it into the network cable, enabling Axis network video products to receive data and power over the same Ethernet cable.
This midspan conforms to the IEEE 802.3at for powering devices with high power requirements on a network and provides 60W (2 times IEEE802.3at) power, which is required when operating cameras such as the Q60-E in temperatures below -4°F (-20°C). It is also IEEE 802.3af compliant, which means that it can be used with all Axis network video products with built-in PoE support.
