The high gloss white colored Cambridge Audio Minx Xi Digital Music System is designed to play everything in your music collection in crisp, rich quality. This music system handles just about any format of music. It will wirelessly stream music from smartphones and tablets in their native quality. Music is accessed from your home network using driverless UPnP technology and Minx Xi will playback music files of all formats and sizes - up to 24-bit/96kHz detail, including "lossless" files. You can access and control all your music using the free app on your smartphone or tablet.
Wireless connection works using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth so it plays nicely with all brands of phones and tablets. Minx Xi's streaming capabilities also include 20,000+ station internet radio and built-in streaming service support (BBC iPlayer Radio, Rhapsody and Pandora among many others). Plus pushed firmware updates means Minx Xi is constantly evolving to support the latest and highest-quality services and gadgets.
Minx Xi features a high-quality 24-bit/96kHz Wolfson WM8728 DAC. With this system, all sources are delivered in great detail. Other features include an oversized toroidal power supply for improved audio quality and bass performance across the volume range, a class AB amplifier for great sound, low distortion and superb power efficiency, and an external clocking taken from the Cambridge Audio NP30 network player to minimize jitter in digital audio streams.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connections ensure every smartphone, tablet or wireless device will work with Minx Xi. Digital support is comprehensive including support for a wide array of digital audio formats (including lossless - FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, WAV supported via UPnP up to 24/96), physical digital audio connections and in-built support for many streaming services including BBC iPlayer Radio, Pandora and Rhapsody. Plus firmware updates can be pushed to Minx Xi, ensuring it will continue to work with the latest internet services, apps and protocols.
Two digital audio and three analogue audio inputs turn the Minx Xi into the core of a home entertainment hub. Three device-charging USBs are joined by a subwoofer out connection to turn the Minx Xi into a compact 2.1 system. It also has an Ethernet connection and a pre-amp connection.
