The Cyclopital3D Filter/Close-up Adapter is a universal adapter that expands the capabilities of your Sony PMW-TD300 3D Camcorder by enabling the use of a multitude of creative filters, lenses, and other attachments (sold separately). These accessories include close-up lenses, neutral density filters, matte box, lens hoods, etc. The Sony TD300 Camcorder has a built-in 105mm lens ring, and this adapter enables the use of 86mm close-up lenses and filters. It also enables the use of the Century Optics Sunshade, which accommodates 4 x 4 professional-grade filters.
In 3D cinematography, the close-up lens allows the camera to achieve convergence on the subject closer than what is possible without the additional close-up lens. It also increases the common image seen by both lenses, thus reducing the amount of image loss commonly experienced in 3D close-up photography and film-making. The adapter also includes an 86mm Vivitar Series 1 close-up lens set.
