The D|Focus Starter Bundle for Blackmagic Cinema Camera with D|Rails Baseplate and D|Focus Follow Focus is designed to add precise focus control to your Blackmagic Cinema Camera. It features the D|Rails BMCC Baseplate with 8" LWS 15mm rods, the D|Focus v4 Follow Focus, and a D|Gear Follow Focus Gear Ring.
The lightweight D|Rails baseplate is designed specifically for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Constructed from CNC machined aluminum, the baseplate features a large thumb screw for attaching the baseplate to your camera, a locking pin to prevent camera rotation, and provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mounting threads. It also supports LWS 15mm rods for adding accessories such as the D|Focus v4 Follow Focus. A pair of 8" rods are included.
The D|Focus v4 Follow Focus uses an industry standard 32 pitch (0.8 mod) gear drive and a machined aluminum, single 15mm rod clamp. The "open gearbox" design is reversible and features custom manufactured hybrid gears, with plastic teeth molded over an aluminum hub. The marking disc is removable, which makes the disc easier to clean or replace. An accessory port on the focus knob enables the use of industry standard whips and speed cranks. For use with lenses without lens gears, a universal gear ring is included. The gear ring uses four sets of legs, each a different length for compatibility with a wide range of lens sizes.
