The MGB from DiGiGrid is a MADI-to-SoundGrid interface that allows for connecting any coaxial MADI-enabled device into the Waves SoundGrid networking and processing platform. The unit facilitates the recording, processing and playback of up to 128 channels using multiple Waves plug-ins, with a low latency of 0.8 milliseconds. In addition to simplifying cable routing, the interface allows for recording to two computers simultaneously for a virtual sound check and for backup.
The interface may be used in both SoundGrid and Native configurations. In a SoundGrid configuration, the unit is used to connect a MADI-enabled console or device to a SoundGrid network for plug-in processing and simultaneous DAW playback and recording. In a Native configuration, the MGB is used to connect a MADI enabled console or device to the SoundGrid ASIO/Core Audio driver for plug-in processing and/or DAW playback and recording.
