Elements' Optimo Lens Hood - 4 1/2" Round Kit is the complete kit required to use filtration for 4 1/2" rounds. The new optical diameter of the hood is 117.5mm which is slightly wider than the stock hood. This kit consists of two individually replaceable parts including the hood and retaining ring.
The factory hood must be removed before our filtration hood can be installed. The original hood is mounted to the lens with a high strength thread locking compound. This bond can only be broken with heat. A heat gun is the best device for delivery and control of the heat, however care must be taken not to overheat the interior of the lens assembly. Because of this it is recommended to use the same individual or organization that handles your Angenieux approved repairs and service.
