The housing includes a moisture detector that alerts you in the unlikely event of a breach in the waterproof seal. Dual fiber-optic cable ports enable the connection of optional external strobes. Mechanical controls afford access to all camera functions. Built for durability, the housing body is constructed from polycarbonate, which is resistant to corrosion and shock. Additionally, it has a built-in lens port with a flat front element. A cold shoe allows for mounting optional arms for strobes or video lights. The housing's removable diffuser ensures that the camera's built-in flash will trigger an external strobe without creating backscatter, glare, or hard shadows. For improved visibility, there is a removable LCD hood to block excess stray light from hitting the monitor.
Featuring a large 1", 20.2MP High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor and the DIGIC 6 processor, the PowerShot G7 X Digital Camera from Canon delivers sharp still photos, Full HD 1080/60p video, High-Speed AF with 31 focus points, and low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800. Its lens has a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 24-100mm for wide-angle to telephoto coverage, as well as a fast f/1.8-2.8 aperture range for effective low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The camera is also equipped with a 3.0", 1040k-dot, tilting touchscreen LCD. A control ring and exposure and mode dials afford manual control, and a built-in ND filter further expands your imaging options. Integrated Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity enable instant image sharing to linked mobile devices, computers, and social networking sites.
