When setting up camp or cooking after dark, or just when you need to light a large area while keeping both hands free, the 2015 Edition HL30 LED Headlight from Fenix is the illumination tool for you. A proprietary Broad Beam system uses a pre-configured lens to produce an 80° spread beam that is smooth without holes or hotspots. The primary white Cree XP-G2 R5 LED produces four outputs from a minimum of 4 lumens to a powerful 230-lumen burst. A secondary red Nichia LED provides a 1 lumen low-output beam to use as an identifying marker on constant-on mode or a signal when set to flashing. In emergency situations the red light can be set to repeat the Morse code SOS sequence.
