This B&H Kit includes two FX Outdoor Wireless HD Cameras which can be installed in a home or office for monitoring separate rooms using the same FLIR app.
The camera lets you keep an eye on your home or business, at any time and from any place, on your mobile device. The camera records up to 1080p video at 30 fps, takes 4MP still images, and is equipped with an ultra-wide 160° lens to capture nearly the entire scene in front of it. Built for maximum versatility, the FX can be used with a range of optional accessories, including a waterproof sports housing, dashboard mount, and an indoor stand. In this Outdoor configuration, the FX camera comes housed in an IP67-rated weatherproof housing for semi-permanent outdoor installation, but you can always remove the camera to use it with any of the available FX accessories should you so choose.
Built-in Wi-Fi lets you remotely monitor and review your videos using the FLIR FX app for iOS and Android devices. The app also lets you take advantage of the camera's SmartZone feature, which lets you select specific areas to monitor and have recording triggered and alerts sent to you when motion is detected. Video is recorded to microSDHC/SDXC memory cards up to 64GB in size. Additionally, you can send WVGA resolution files directly to FLIR's Cloud server for storage and review. A free Cloud Basic option is available for storing up to three videos on the cloud for up to 48 hours. For unlimited clips and longer storage duration, paid Cloud Plus and Cloud Premium subscriptions are available.
The camera has an internal battery that provides up to two hours of use. When used inside the Outdoor Housing, the camera is meant to be hard-wired using an included 13' power cable. In the event of a power loss, the camera will automatically switch to battery power, giving you 2 hours of backup power. The camera has six IR LEDs built-in for night vision recording up to 33', but these are automatically turned off when attached to the Outdoor Housing as they reflect off the lens covering. The Outdoor Housing provides its own set of four IR LEDs that offer a range up to 65' for night time monitoring. It is important to note that should you have to revert to battery power, the IR LEDs on the Outdoor Housing won't be powered, so you'll lose night vision until power is restored.
