BFD Oak Custom from FXpansion is a drum sample expansion pack for the company's BFD3, BFD Eco, and BFD2 acoustic drum software, featuring a Yamaha oak drum kit. The kick is played with two beater types, while the toms are struck using sticks, mallets, and hotrods for extra versatility, resulting in sounds that are full of body and low end.
Also included is a reduced-detail Yamaha bamboo snare from BFD Signature Snares Vol.1, along with samples of the original Yamaha drum cases being struck. The samples were recorded in similar studio conditions as the BFD Percussion pack and other Yamaha-based expansions such as BFD Jazz Maple and the Mapleworks kits in BFD3.
