The key of C version of the Hohner Marine Band Thunderbird Harmonica with Retail Box is a deep-tone harmonica named in tribute to a song by Little Walter and the Kim Wilson band by the same name. The cover plates were designed by Joe Filisko and the harmonica features a conical lower cover design to provide high volume low frequency response with minimal reed rattle. The channel openings and reed plate edges are rounded for greater playing comfort.
The harmonica features 10 holes, 20 brass reeds, a stainless-steel cover, a SuperGlide lacquered mouthpiece, and a sealed, triple lacquered blond bamboo comb. The case utilizes three reed plate screws and four covers screws to optimize air tightness and make maintenance easier. The harmonica is made in Germany and comes with a zippered neoprene case with belt loop that helps block out dust while allowing moisture to evaporate.
