Flexibility and adjustability are the key components of the Elements EV2 Adjustable Camcorder Baseplate from ikan. The baseplate allows you to mount a wide variety of camcorders and adjust the lens center to rod height for working with rod-mounted accessories such as follow focus units, zoom motors, and matte boxes. The 3" of side-to-side adjustment allows you to compensate for a camera that has its tie-down offset from the lens center. The one 1" of vertical adjustment allows you to adjust your lens center to rod height.
The baseplate is made from anodized aluminum and incorporates two sets of 15mm rod clamps with 60mm (LWS) spacing and spring-loaded locking levers. Included with the baseplate are a pair of 12"-long 15mm black support rods. The bottom of the baseplate features a hole for a locating pin and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes, so you can mount your choice of tripod quick release plates to the baseplate. The bottom of the baseplate also features screws for mounting optional VCT-style V-lock plates.
