The ikan Power Dock is a 15mm rod-mount power station offering 7 power ports, HDMI splitter functionality, and the ability to charge Gold-Mount batteries. Featuring an integrated Gold-Mount battery plate as well as DC power input, it can be run off of a battery or DC continuous power. A 3-prong AC/DC adapter is included.
The 7 power ports consist of five DC outputs, a P-Tap output, and a USB port. The DC outputs are: one 5V, one 7.4V, two 12V, and one 15V, and a corresponding DC cable is included for each. The 7.4V output can be used to power DSLR cameras using optional converter cables, such as the Canon ACK-E5 dummy battery cable. The USB port provides up to 5V of power.
To use the Power Dock as a Gold-Mount charger, just connect the AC/DC adapter while keeping your battery attached. An LED indicator next to the AC/DC input will confirm that the battery is charging. AC power is also required for using the 15V output in most cases, as most batteries run in up to 14.4V.
The HDMI splitter functionality works at the flip of a switch and doesn't interfere with the other outputs. In fact, you can have all the outputs, the HDMI splitter, and battery charging all working at the same time. One HDMI input is positioned on the side and two HDMI outputs on top, allowing you to transmit your camera signal to a monitor and recorder or any two compatible devices. You can also use the splitter functionality off of your rig, such as in home-entertainment or similar applications.
