Sporting a slim design with recessed control buttons and weighing in at half a pound, the VL7e 7" LCD HDMI On-Camera Monitor from ikan features 1024 x 600 resolution with a native 16:9 aspect ratio. The monitor incorporates an HDMI input and separate HDMI output connector as well as a discrete composite video input. It features 450 cd/m² brightness and 700:1 contrast ratio for a clear image. The LCD panel provides 170° viewing area, which allows you to watch your image from off angles without significant changes to color or contrast.

Image display tools include peaking and movable 1:1 pixel, which allows you to view your image section by section without any scaling artifacts. The monitor will sense when you have flipped it upside down and will automatically flip the image to correctly orient it. The monitor also features 16:9, 4:3 framing guides, a cross hair selection, as well as a grid view, with multiple grid line selections. A 1/4"-20 threaded mounting hole on the bottom of the unit allows you to mount it to optional 1/4"-20 mounting accessories, and it includes an LP-E6 type battery mounting plate that powers your monitor via the coaxial power input on the side of the monitor. The monitor incorporates a USB port that is used for firmware updates, but can also be used to power 5 volt USB devices.
