mocha Plus 4 (formerly mocha AE) from Imagineer Systems is a standalone compositing application for tracking and masking, featuring planar-based 2D tracking technology, which tracks objects using planes rather than points. mocha Plus offers support for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut 7, Motion, Boris FX, and HitFilm.
mocha Plus can identify an object for tracking simply by drawing a loose spine around it -- mocha will detect and discard pixels that move differently than the object of focus. In addition to simple tracking, it supports rotoscoping for dealing with more complex geometries. Although mocha Plus is planar based, many 3D projections in a scene can also be handled, as long as the object is free of parallax. Once finished, you can export the shape data to all supported applications. The exact data that can be exported depends on the application you are exporting to.
