Designed for SMBs, the EonStor DS 2024GB 24-Bay RAID Storage System from Infortrend is an entry-level enterprise storage solution for ready-heavy and mission-critical applications. It delivers powerful performance, wide scalability, and enterprise data services. The DS 2024GB is well suited for SAN, IP SAN, and DAS deployments with the flexibility of hybrid host interfaces and modular hardware. The EonStor DS 2024GB features a 2U 24-bay small form factor, a single storage controller, and 2 x 2GB of cache memory per controller, for a total of 4GB. Systems are configured with 4 x 1 Gb/s iSCSI ports for out-of-the-box connectivity to various clients with a combination of speed and stability, but can be transformed using hybrid host interfaces. Users can mix and match different standards, with options including 16 Gb/s Fibre Channel, 12 Gb/s SAS, 10 Gb/s iSCSI, and more. Hybrid host interfaces help support storage multitasking, allowing the bandwidth of the Fibre Channel with the high speed connectivity of the iSCSI or SAS. Drives are hot-swappable, as are the redundant power supplies. The EonStor DS 2024GB systems are scalable with compatible JBOD expansion enclosures, helping to provide added capacity as the need for more space grows. JBODs connect via a 6 Gb/s SAS are are offered in various form factors, including high density 4U 60-bay units. There is also compatibility for self-encrypting drives. Performance reaches up to 780,000 IOPS with 5,500 MB/s read and 1,900 MB/s write speeds. This helps users who work with IOPS-intensive applications such as databases, file servers, virtual desktops, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, and more. The EonStor DS 2024GB operates using two redundant 460W power supplies that are compatible with 100 VAC @ 8A to 240 VAC @ 4A with auto-switching PFC at frequencies of 50/60 Hz. This RAID is compatible with systems running Windows, Mac, Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, VMWare, and Citrix XenServer. Included is a power cord, a 3-year limited hardware warranty, and 8x5 phone, web, and email support.
